Walls, 88, of Pensacola, died, Monday, July 13, 2009 at the Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Residence.Mr. Walls was born January 08, 1921 in Opp, Alabama to Henry Clay Walls and Eunice Octavia Johnson Walls. Shortly after Mr. Walls was born his family moved to Jay, Florida where he grew up. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving 36 months in the South Pacific. After his service in the Navy he moved to Pensacola where he started Penco Photo in Warrington. He sold Penco and moved to Gulfport, Mississippi where he opened the Marine Life oceanarium. After living in Gulfport Mr. Walls, moved to Santa Monica, California, where he was the MC and dolphin trainer for the Pacific Ocean Park Sea Circus. He then went on the road with a traveling dolphin show. In 1965 he set up a dolphin exhibit and show in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Before he retired he had a mobile reptile exhibit.He was preceded in death by his sister, Etoyle Rice.Survivors include his, sons, John Walls (Newell) of Tallahassee and Robert Walls (Mary Ann) of Pensacola; daughter, Sheila Freeman (Jackie) of Pensacola; brother, Bealin Meadows (Mary) of Cottondale, FL; sister, Kathleen Turner (Prince) of Mobile, AL; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Warrington Baptist Church with Reverend Larry White officiating.Interment will follow with military honors at Barrancas National Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the church.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, Covenant Hospice, 5041 North 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32504.
