TODD, John Thomas, 98, of Sun City Center, passed away August 30, 2007, after a brief illness. A native of Seaford, Del., Mr. Todd moved to Florida 20 years ago. He had been an insurance salesman before retiring in 1974. "Tom" played chess regularl three or four times each week and enjoyed listening to music, reading cookbooks and solving crypt-o-quotes. In his earlier years, he was an excellent billiards player and once played for the Delaware state championship. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, and his son, Jay. He is survived by his daughter, Jane Kempfer of Bethlehem, Pa.; his son-in-law, Joe; two grandsons, Josh and Andy; Kelly, wife of Andy; and two great-granddaughters, Emily and Jaydaci. A private graveside service will take place inn Seaford, Del., at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Lewers Funeral Home.
