MECHANICVILLE John T. Waldron, 35, of So. Third St., died suddenly Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at his home of natural causes. Born in Schenectady, January 2, 1969, he was the son of Richard Bub Waldron of Mechanicville and the late Judy Ingle Waldron. John was a 1989 graduate of Mechanicville High School and also attended Cazenovia College. For the past three years, John was a correctional officer with the Saratoga County Sheriff's Department Correctional Facility in Milton. Previously, he had worked for DeCrescente Dist. Co. of Mechanicville and also was a greens keeper and member of the Mechanicville Golf Club. A member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the Sons of the American Legion, both of Mechanicville, John was a devoted member and much sought after playing partner at the Mechanicville Golf Club and had participated in several tournaments, representing his club. John will be sorely missed by his entire golf club membership. Survivors in addition to his father include his twin brother, Mechanicville Chief of Police Joseph (Samantha) Waldron of Mechanicville; nephew, Matthew and niece, Carrie Anne Waldron, both of Mechanicville; his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Ingle of Mechanicville. He was the nephew of Hawley, Frank, Terry and Thomas Waldron, all of Mechanicville, Raymond Waldron of Saratoga Springs, Elzora Conway of Latham and Earl Waldron of Colonie. John was predeceased by his grandfather, Carson Ingle and uncle, David Waldron and aunt, Carolyn Herman. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville. Burial in Hudson View Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Luke's Church, Mechanicville or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
