MILLER, John S. - Passed away peacefully at Leisureworld Care Giving Center on Thursday July 6, 2006, at the age of 79 years. John was the beloved husband of the late Norman French, who predeceased him in 2002. The proud and loving father of Bonnie Macy of Toledo, OH., Sally Darulis (David) of Akron, OH., John A. Miller (Trudy) of Sheffield, Mass., Jay B. Miller (Paula) of Colorado Springs and Carey Husband (Jim) of North Bay. John will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Scott, Heidi, Jamie, Julie, Jason, Jon, James and Courtney and his great grandchildren Kiah, Téa, Caleb, Kara, and Emma He will also be sadly missed by his sister Ruth Higgins of Washington State, and was predeceased by his sister Betty Chase. Raised in New York City John spent most of his life in Ohio and Toronto, Ont. His entire working career was spent with the Davey Tree Expert Company. He started with the company at the age of seventeen as a tree climber, rose through the ranks and retired as Vice President in charge of their Canadian operations. In 2002 John and Norma moved from Toronto to North Bay where they resided in Leisureworld. His family wish to extend their sincerest thanks to Dr. Clint Redhead, the staff of Leisureworld, and Christine Deschamps for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place and a private family committal service will be held at a later date. If desired donations to the Leisureworld Quality of Life for Seniors Fund will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
