NORTHPORT John Ray Montgomery, age 80, of Northport, died Oct. 29, 2010, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Phillips Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Nelson Funeral Home of Fayette directing.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda June Montgomery; his brother, Sam Montgomery; and his sisters, Martha Junkin, Ruth Cargile, and Helen Cargile.Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Q. Montgomery of Northport; his daughter, Pam Montgomery of Mt. Olive; his previous wife, Willa Ree Lett of Tuscaloosa; his sister, Julia Ann Towery (Randy) of Tennessee; his brother, Bob Montgomery (Fannie) of Louisiana; his grandson, Dillon Montgomery; and a special niece, Cathy Pierce of Tyler, Texas.Pallbearers will be Brian Litton, Jerry Moon, Norman Davis, Dewayne Crowe, David Hindman, and Darryl Shaw.
