JOHN PAUL HENRY TUCSON, AZ John Paul Henry, age 62, of Tucson, AZ, passed away November 21, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy A.; daughters: Kelly A. Henry of Homewood, IL and Karen L. Foltz; grandchildren: Kyra and Forest of OH; brothers: Robert (Norma) of Punta Gorda, FL, Donald (Marlene) of Apache Junction, AZ and Richard of Merrillville, IN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy and Meredith Holder of Lansing, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews around the country. Preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Velma Henry. John graduated in 1965 from Thornton Fractional South. He joined the Navy serving four years, one in Vietnam (1967-1968) at Danang. From basic training throughout his tour, he received numerous honors for leadership and meritorious achievements. John returned home to work in the family business, The Henry Vacuum Cleaner Co. as Sales Manager for many years. He operated his own business in Portage prior to moving to Florida in 1994. John enjoyed photography, art, carpentry and restoring classic cars. He made friends wherever he lived. John was a member of VFW, American Legion and the Moose. Moving to Arizona, John served on the Executive Board of Directors of the Coronado Ridge Home Owners Association. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Lansing Presbyterian Church, 2625 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. John's wish was for everyone to "Please be an Organ Donor", as he was a 15 year heart transplant recipient. In lieu of flowers, please give to cancer research or your favorite charity.
