John Peter Elliott, 73, of Pembroke, and formerly of Rockland, passed away Oct. 28, 2013. Born in Weymouth, Dec. 31, 1939, he was the son of the late Clifford D. and Zulima F. (Davis) Elliott. Raised and educated in Rockland, he was a self-employed contractor and was the site work contractor and wood recycler for Rockland Sand and Gravel, Inc., for over 50 years. John loved motorcycles and belonged to the Bridgewater Forty Niners Club. John was the devoted husband of Pauline L. (Lamar) Elliott; loving father of Julie A. LaCasse and her husband Murray of Rockland, John P. Elliott Jr. and David D. Elliott both of Pembroke, Paul J. Healy of Quincy and John D. Healy of N.H.; dear brother of Merridith Hickey of Hanover and Robin Pompeo and her husband Richard of Quincy; cherished grandfather of Christopher, Nicholas, Tony, Matthew, and Leah; and great-grandfather of Natalie and Nathan.
