OUELLETTE, John Pershing (WWII Vet., Sgt Mgr. Perth Regiment, Canadian Forces) Passed away at Brouillette Manor Nursing Home on December 28, 2007, age 89 years. Lifetime resident of Kingsville. Beloved companion of Helga Koenenkamp (Oldenburg, Germany). Dearest father of Paul and Mary Ouellette (Tecumseh), and grandfather to Jeff Weaver. Brother of Darcy, Delore, and Valerie, in addition to many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by brothers Lomer, and Jeffrey, and by his parents Gil and Rose Ouellette. John was a pilot and enjoyed pool, golf, baseball, hockey, boating, fishing, and telling stories of the good old days. As an active member of the community, John was a long standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #188, the Kingsville Knights of Columbus, the Kingsville Kinsmen Club, and the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce, serving as the President during our 1967 Centennial year. If desired, donations to the Canadian Legion Branch #188, Kingsville "Poppy Fund" would be appreciated. On Wednesday, family and friends are invited to meet at St. John de Brebeuf Church (Kingsville) after 10:30 a.m. to be followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. and interment at Greenhill Cemetery, Kingsville.
