O'Hare, John MichaelJohn Michael O'Hare, 83, long-time resident of Peekskill, NY died at home in Jensen Beach Florida on October 13, 2011, surrounded by family and friends. He was born November 13th, 1927, in Peekskill, NY, son of the late George and Matilda O'Hare of Depew Street, Peekskill, NY. He served in the Army during WWII and was among the Occupation Forces in Japan at the end of the war. He was a distinguished educator and Principal at Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School for many years and a respected modern artist and poet, accomplished sailor, fly fisherman & skier. 
He is survived by his brother, George of Youngstown OH and three sons and a daughter, Scott of Baiting Hollow, NY, Kurt of Putnam Valley, NY and Dean of Charlotte, NC, and Mary of Bethel, CT, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
