John Marion MontgomeryMoultonFuneral for John Marion Montgomery, 95, of Moulton will be Sunday, March 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Agee and Bro. Neil Carter officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation is tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.Mr. Montgomery, who died Thursday, March 20, 2014, was born on January 21, 1919, in Lawrence County to R.P. Montgomery and Lillie Bragg Montgomery. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a general contractor for 30 years in the North Alabama area. He loved being with family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erin Stuart Montgomery; son, Lance Montgomery, two brothers, Lovis Montgomery and Wallace Montgomery; and his parents.Survivors include a son, Mark Montgomery (Cathy); two grandsons, Matt Montgomery (Gini), and Wyatt Montgomery (Ashley); two granddaughters, Amy Hall (Steve) and Abby Terry (Caleb); seven great-grandchildren, Macy and Josie Montgomery, Lillie Cate and Gabe Hall, Elliot and Finley Terry and Luke Montgomery; a sister, Irene Montgomery Shoemaker.Pallbearers will be Matt Montgomery, Wyatt Montgomery, Steve Hall, Caleb Terry, Tommy Whitlow and Bob Montgomery.
