John M. Casey Cedarville John M. Casey, 79, much loved husband, father and grandfather, of Cedarville, NY, passed away Wednesday, August 6th, in Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown. John was born October 7, 1928, in Detroit, MI, the son of Matthew and Magdalen Casey. Before retiring, he was a professor of business at HCCC. He is survived by his wife, Alice; his sister, Patricia Martus; and his children, Jeanne and Tony Hammond, Brian and Fran Casey, Jill and Randy Broscious, and Jim and Leslie Casey. His seven grandchildren were a source of much pride and pleasure. The family wants to thank the staff at Bassett Hospital for their competence and compassion in caring for John during his illness. There will be a private gathering under the family pear tree, the site of many happy events.
