JOHN LEE SATELLITE BEACH John P. Lee, 82, of Satellite Beach, FL, a Meteorologist, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at his daughters home in Rockledge, FL. John was born in Elba, Alabama. John and his wife, Gladys (Bish), came to Brevard County in 2000 from Inver ness,Florida. John earned degrees from the University of Miami, Mem phis State and the University of Hawaii. As a Meteorologist, he worked in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Hawaii, Kentucky and Kwajalein. He served 34 years with the Department of Commerce and post-retirement, worked with Kentron and Aero met. He also taught extension classes for the University of Hawaii. John served in both the U.S. Marine Corps and in the Air Force Reserves. He was a Ken tucky Colonel and spent 14 months in the Arctic as part of the 1956 National Geophy sical Year. John was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years, Gladys Bishop; his sister, Mildred Pearce of Elba, AL; and his brother, Joe Lee of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He is survived by his sib lings, Laura Pearce of Inver ness, FL, Ruth Collier of Chapel Hill NC and Kenneth (Jeannette) Lee of Bonne Terre, MO; his children, Bevalie (Kyle) Turner of Evergreen CO, Steven (Kabir Master) Lee of Dallas, TX and Pamela (Dale) Liles of Rock ledge, FL; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Julie) Story, Matthew (Kelly) Story, Kyle (Joyce) Turner, Ben (Brenda) Liles, John Lee III, Martin Lee, Ian Miller, Megan Miller and Ashley Liles; and great-grand children, Lauren Story, Dylan Lee, MacKenzie, Cadence and Gracen Liles. A memorial service and interment will take place on Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Florida Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Gladys Bishop Lee to Ameri can Alzheimers Association. Florida Memorial Funeral Home in Rockledge is in charge of arrangements.
