LEE, John On March 22, 2011, Jack Lee passed away following a brief illness at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by his wife Edith in 2001, he will be forever remembered by his daughter Barbara (Lance) Pepper and son Stephen (Elaine) Lee, as well as his grandchildren Meghan (Justin) Miskolzie and Matthew (Amanda) Pepper. Dad was thrilled by the recent arrival of his first great-grandson Emerson who always brought a big smile to his face. Following Dad's retirement from the Alberta government, he spent the next thirty years perfecting the art of stained glass. Many of his pieces adorn homes and institutions around the province and the world. He also became a dedicated volunteer, serving for ten years as a guide at the nursing home where Mum had lived prior to her passing. At Dad's request a private family memorial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to The Good Samaritan Society-Southgate Care Centre who provided Dad with the opportunity to make such a difference for so many years.
