BERWYN, Pa. -- John J. Woolley III, 64, died Nov. 7, 2010, after a brief illness. He was recently retired from his job as chief software architect for Sungard Systems of Wayne, formerly SCT of Malvern. His favorite activity was teaching scuba diving, and enjoying dive travel with his wife, Rita. IN HIS LIFE: He was the beloved husband of Rita Modesti; father of Kim Holtzman, married to Rick Holtzman, and Grandfather of Bailey Holtzman. He was survived by his father, Jack Woolley Sr. of Florida. He was also survived by sisters Susan Clay and husband, Alan, of Lee, N,H., Anita Nickulas and husband, David, of Auburn, N.H., brothers Michael Woolley and wife, Paula, of Rollinsford, N.H., and Stephen Woolley of Dover, N.H. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Jean Woolley, in 1983. SERVICES: A memorial service is Saturday at 2 p.m. at Alleva Funeral Home, 1724 East Lancaster Ave., Paoli. Visitation is Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
