John J. Horn, 68, of Hinesville died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at St. Joseph's Hospital.He was born in Wrightsville and was a member of the Bethel AME Church in Hinesville. He retired from the U.S. Army after 18 ½ years. He received a Purple Heart, served two tours in Vietnam and served in the Old Guard at Arlington Cemetery.He is survived by his wife, Thelma B. Horn of Hinesville; son, Jon A. Horn (Kashuna) of Deluth, Ga.; his mother, Valene Horn of St. Augustine, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Thelma Robinson of Gibson, Ga.; and one sister, Delores Memory; one sister-in-law, Lawanna Rincover of Canada, two brothers-in-law of Tampa, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.Memorial services will be private.
