WEYMOUTH John J. Haslam, (Retired Deputy Chief Weymouth Fire Dept.), passed away at the Fenno House in Quincy, August 17, 2009. He was 91 years old. Born and raised in New York City, he had lived in Weymouth since 1945. John was a 1st Class Signalman in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II. He retired in 1982 after 34 years with the Weymouth Fire Dept. Past member of the Holy Name Society at St. Jeromes Church in North Weymouth. Beloved husband of 51 years to the late Beryl A. (Gray) Haslam. Father of John T. Haslam (Deputy Chief Weymouth Fire Dept.) of Weymouth. Grandfather of Jennifer Haslam and John J. Haslam both of Weymouth. Funeral from the North Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home, 40 Sea St. (off Rte 3A-Bicknell Sq.), Friday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in The St. Jeromes Church at 9:00 Oclock.
