HARRINGTON, John J., 96 of Spring Hill passed away on Monday, November 21, 2005 at the Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. He was born in Cambridge, Ma and came here 29 years ago from Cambridge. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church and a retired firefighter in Arlington, Ma. Mr. Harrington received the Purple Heart during WWII while serving in the US Army. He was also a retired buyer with the Boston Navel Ship Yard. Mr. Harrington was a world traveler, visiting all seven continents. He was also very health conscious, exercising until the age of 95. He was an avid reader of newspapers and magazines, enjoyed new cars and spending time with his family. Predeceased by two brothers: Edward and Gerald. He is survived by his loving wife: Mary of Spring Hill; daughter: Janice and her husband William Metz, son, Jay Harrington, all of Spring Hill; grandchildren: Cecelia and Gwenyth; sisters-in-law: Hazel and Genevieve; two nephews and one niece. Visitation will be at the Brewer Seven Hills Ch apel on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery.
