JOHN HENRYWALLS, 74 LAKELAND - John Henry Walls, 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 at his residence (cardiac arrest). John was born to John Walls and Eva Hytwer Walls, June 30,1935 in Lake Charles, LA. Graduating from Rochelle Sr. class of 1957; Mr. Walls retired from the City of Lakeland as a Environmental Engineer for over 30 years. He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters Johnnie Mae Davis and Willie Mae Myles, and parents John Walls and Eva H. Walls; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. He was a member of Lakeland Masonic Lodge #52, Greater St. Paul MB Church, a current volunteer & 2006 Volunteer of the Year Awardee at Faith in Action-North Lakeland. He was also a member of the Washington Park Rochelle Alumni Assoc. He will be missed by all for his candor, straight talk, good will towards his fellow man, fun loving spirit, and mostly missed during all reunions and holiday events in the North Lakeland Community. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, 5-7 pm at H.W. Oldham Funeral Home; Services will be at Greater St. Paul MB Church on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, 11a.m. Services entrusted to HW Oldham Funeral Home.
