Mr. John Henry "Johnny" Parker, 86, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at The Oaks of Carrollton. Funeral services for Mr. Parker will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Old Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Hagan officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Dryden Funeral Home, Heflin is in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers are Tony Waddell, David Cox, Kenny Benefield, Don Johnson, Bill Tucker, Mark Tucker, Tim Tucker, Dwayne Edwards. Survivors include his sister, Doralene Kendall, of Buford, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Parker was a native and life long resident of Cleburne County. He was a member of Old Hopewell Baptist Church since August of 1956. Mr. Parker was a retired veteran of World War II and a retired farmer.
