Funeral Mass for John Harold Moore, 84, Ormond Beach, who died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at Florida Memorial Hospital, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church with Father Queen officiating. Mr. Moore, formerly from North Plainfield, N.J., was born in Trooper, Pa. He served in the Marines as a Tech. Sgt. specializing in airborne radar. He served in the Bismark Archipelago Operation and the Marianas. Prior to retirement Mr. Moore was superintendent of the Central R.R. of New Jersey. He later was co-owner of Precise Services in Savannah, Ga. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Dorothy; son, John and daughter-in-law, Martha, Montgomery Twp, N.J.; daughter, Joanne Davis and son-in-law, Chester, Venice, Fla.; granddaughters, Melanie Lapointe, North Attleboro, Mass., and Marybeth Aucoin Moore, Atlanta. He also leaves a brother, Charles Moore and a sister, Mildred Heiser. Mr. Moore took great pleasure in playing golf at the Riviera Country Club which he joined in 1989 when moving here, and bowling with The Falls as long as he was able. He also loved to fish and garden, and above all he loved his family. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
