JOHN H. WILLIAMS of NicholsJohn H. Williams, 67, of Nichols, N.Y., passed away Sunday, September 30, 2001, at the Robert Packer Hospital following an extended illness. Born February 14, 1934 in Rome Pa., the son of Guy and Josephine Chaffee Williams. He worked for Local #410 Engineers Union for 40 years and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by both his parents and a daughter, Christie Jo, in 1958. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dean Covey, Sayre, Pa.; granddaughters, Jessica and Erin Covey, both of Sayre; his sisters and brothers, Gertrude Rockefeller, Warren Center, Pa., Erwin Williams, Smithville Flats, N.Y., Arthur Williams, Warren Center, Pa., Mary Sivers, Little Meadows, Pa., Bruce Williams, Warren Center, Pa.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no calling hours. Private Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 East Third St., Williamsport, Pa. 17701.
