JOHN G. JERRY DECKER of Hallstead, Pa.John G. Jerry Decker, 66, Hallstead, Pa., passed away peacefully March 23, 2001, at his home. He is survived by Geraldine Burnett Decker, his wife of 44 years. He was the son of the late Elmer and Cartha Decker. Also surviving are four children, Michelle Kimble and husband, Jerry, Hallstead, John Decker and wife, Evie, Hallstead, Rhonda Goldsmith and husband, Edward, Montrose, Pa., Jeffrey Decker, Great Bend, Pa.; six grandchildren, Jamie, Aaron, David, Brady, Nicole, Jacob; a great grandson, Anthony; a sister, Marlene Cranmer, Great Bend; and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was a SAL member of American Legion Post 357, Hallstead, and an Associate member of VFW Post 6223, Great Bend. He was a former employee of PennDOT. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool, and throwing darts. A funeral service will be held at Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, Pa., Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at 11 a.m., with Pastor James Soller, officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials in honor of Jerry may be sent to Lourdes Hospital Foundation, Hospice Unit, Binghamton, N.Y.
