DAVIS John G. Davis, Jr. 82, died July 12, 2002. He was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Herb Anderson. He was a graduate of Stanton High, Class of 1939; received a degree from Edward Waters College; a veteran of World War II; retired from the Railway Express Agency; and was a member of Eureka Lodge #51. His wife, Lillian A. Davis, preceded him in death. Survivors include two daughters, Erma Davis Banks and Rosita Elaine Davis, sister, Bertha Graham, two grandsons, Christopher and Justin Banks, sisters-in-law, Mary Francis White, and Bessie Harrison; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 1:00PM in his church, with the pastor officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, (Today) from 6 to 8PM. Interment, Restlawn Memorial Park.
