John-Francis Casey, né en 1926, conjoint de Eileen-O-Connor Casey, fils de John et Marie-Sullivan, père de Mary Anne, David, Erin, Brendan, Kevin, Ann, Ryan, Tara, Liam, Michael, Donna, Jack, Brian, Jeffrey, John et Eileen, est décédé le 9 octobre 2008 à l'âge de 82 ans.
CASEY John Francis Casey, age 82 of Trumbull and previously of Elmont, N.Y., died Thursday, October 9, 2008 in his home. He was the beloved husband of Eileen O'Connor Casey, and father and grandfather of his daughter, Mary Anne Wonn and her husband, David and their children, Erin and Brendan; his son, Kevin Casey; his son, John Casey and his wife, Ann Marie and their children, Ryan, Tara and Liam; his son, Michael Casey and his wife, Donna and their children, Jack and Brian; and his daughter, Eileen Marshall and her husband, Jeffrey and their children, John and Eileen. He is also survived by his sister, Anne Holland and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., John was the son of the late John and Marie Sullivan Casey. His sister, Mary and brother, Lawrence, predeceased him. He was a graduate of LaSalle University and was a veteran of the United State Navy Seabees. Prior to his retirement, John was the treasurer, financial vice president and director of Cavitron Corp. He was instrumental in the development and fund-raising for the Nassau Center, a school for the developmentally disabled in Woodbury, N.Y. He served on the Advisory Board of Directors of the Mercy Learning Center in Bridgeport. He served as treasurer and vice president of the John F. Kennedy Division #1 Ancient Order of Hibernians of America. He was a member of the Gaelic American Club. John was past president of the St. Theresa Senior Citizen Club and was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Manor. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call Sunday 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. in the Red-gate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
