JOHN ELLIOTT CAPE CANAVERAL John T. Jack Elliott, of Cape Canaveral, Florida, passed away Friday, April 7, 2006. He was born Nov. 19, 1922, in Springfield, OH, the son of Herbert and Mary (Owens) Elliott. After serving honorably in the 18th Infantry Regiment 1st Divi sion in Europe dur ing World War II, he was an out standing employee at White Haines Optical for 45 years in Dayton and Springfield, OH. He is survived by his four children, Dianne (Jerry) Howell, New Carlisle, OH, David (Jean) Plant City, FL, Tim (Karen) Enon, OH, and Tom (Tana) Springfield, OH; grand children, Shannon, Stephanie Howell, Kara, Ryan, Katie, Ross, Tyler, Josh, Troy, Todd, and Trent Elliott; and a great- granddaughter Madison Howell. He is preceded in death by one grandchild, Elizabeth Renee Elliott and his loving wife, Ruth; his parents; his brothers, Leroy (Bus) and Charles; and his sisters, Naomi, Francis and Leota. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 10th at the Costa Del Sol com plex, his home for 18 years. Jack will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home of Cocoa Beach is in charge of the arrangements.
