John "Jock" Elliott September 12, 1936 - July 07, 2001 Funeral arrangements by L. G. Wallace Funeral Home Peacefully at home, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones, on Saturday, July 7, 2001 in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Margaret for 44 years. Loving father of Jane and Bamford, William and Renee, John, Jim and Rose. Much loved papa of Lisa, Jimmy, Angela, Johnny, Kimberley, Trevor, Samantha and great-grandpa of James. Dear brother of William and his wife Molly of Scotland, Duncan and his wife Sylvia, James, Lavinia and her husband Brian. Predeceased by parents John and Catherine, brother Henry and sister Mary. John will be sadly missed by many other family and friends in Canada and abroad. He was a long time member of Hamilton Beach Rescue Association and Carpenter’s Union Local 18. As per John’s wishes, Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the L.G.WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North (905-544-1147) on Monday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Service of Remembrance in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. If desired, donations to Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
