RENSSELAER John Dusty E. Miller, age 80 years, of Partition Street, died Monday, August 16, 2004 at Villa Mary Immaculate in Albany. He was born in So. Norwalk, Conn. and has lived in Rensselaer his entire life. Mr. Miller was employed by the N.Y. Central Railroad and was a dock foreman and union steward for Winthrop Laboratories in Rensselaer. Dusty was an accomplished singer, singing with the Bar N Ranch Boys and would sing every Saturday morning on WABY Radio for many years. He was a merchant marine in his youth. Dusty loved his guitar, fishing and was an all-around handyman. Husband of 59 years of Ruth Koch Miller of Rensselaer; father of Marilyn Lynn (Frank) Durivage, John Miller, Timothy (Barbara) Miller, Michael (Debra) Miller, Kevin (Sandra) Miller and John Hall Miller; brother of Gerald Mahoney, George Steele, Rose Kunsman and Aggie Gagnon. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer Thursday morning at 9:30 and 10:30 at St. John's Church, Herrick Street, Rensselaer where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
