John Frank "Porky" Davis, 75, of 208 Holiday St., widower of Lula Montez Harper Davis, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003.Born in Pelzer, he was the son of the late John Dendy and Etta Holliday Dean Davis. He retired from the Kendall Company and was of the Baptist faith.Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Lee and Cheryl Brady Davis of West Pelzer, John "Charlie" Daniel and Rachel Fuehrer Davis of Greenville, Billy W. and Lynne Saltmarsh Davis of Powdersville; sisters, Gertrude Shepherd of Easley, Cindy "Penny" Brown of Pelzer; and five grandchildren.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gray Mortuary Chapel, Pelzer by the Rev. Bobby Caldwell and the Rev. Mark Spearman. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family is at the home of Terry and Cheryl Davis, 212 Holiday St., West Pelzer, and will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
