John C. Hyatt ROCK HILL Mr. John C. Hyatt, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 18, 2014, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014, at Garden Sanctuary Church of God with the Revs. Mike Wooten and Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road. Born in Columbus County, N.C., Mr. Hyatt was a son of the late James Murray Hyatt and the late Lela Turbeville Hyatt. He was retired from Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Co., Hull Dye Print Works in Derby, Conn. and was the owner of Hyatt Insulating Company Inc. in Catawba. He was a loving and caring husband, father, gra-ndfather and great-grand-father. Surviving are his loving wife, Alma Lewis Hyatt and his faithful companion, Squeaky, both of the home; his daughters, Fonda D. Hyatt of Catawba, Kelly D. Hyatt and her fiance, Van Robinson of Rock Hill and Michelle Bahneman and her husband, Brian of Rock Hill; his son, John L. Hyatt and his fianc‚, Bunny Moore of Catawba; his foster sons, Euris D. Hyatt and his wife, Mary of Catawba and Roger W. Hyatt and his wife, Sherrie of Nashville, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Linda D. Jordan, John Curtis Hyatt and his wife, Amanda, Tiffany Moore and her husband, Daymon, Kayla Hyatt and her companion, La Cardie Sturgis, Lorne D. Walters, Meaghan Andrews and her husband, Jackson, Matthew Hyatt and his partner, Matt Sanders and Keirsten Bolton; his great-grandchildren, Justin T. Young, Marylee Hyatt, Raelyn Moore and Kennedi Andrews and his sisters, Retha Fowler and Edna Manning, both of Rock Hill. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Oneal, Dewey, David and Earl Hyatt and his sisters, Verbenia Shelley, Daisy Hardee and Margie Shelley. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road in Rock Hill and other times at the home. Memorials may be made in Mr. Hyatt's name to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731; or to Garden Sanctuary Church of God, 831 Cedar St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
