John B. (Jack) Williams of Port CraneJohn B. (Jack) Williams, 76, of Port Crane, died Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at Wilson Memorial Hospital after a long battle with Parkinson's and Heart Disease. He was predeceased by a sister, Lois Nichols. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Arlene (Ross) Williams; six children, Douglas (Kathleen) Neiss Sr., Darrell (Deborah) Neiss, Linda (Richard) Johnson, Sharon (Stephen) Tuttle, Brenda Williams (Fred Eggleston), Jacqueline (Michael) VanGorden; 21 grandchildren, Douglas (Tammy) Neiss Jr., Nicole (Patrick) Scott, Garrett, Chelsea, Jaye and Micah Neiss, Liza (Donald) Wolbert, Andrea, Cory and Katrina Neiss, Nathan and Kadesh Johnson, Stephen (Stephanie) Tuttle, Jr., Tonya (Johnmark) Bevacqua, Brian and Jacqueline Tuttle, Gerald (Jodi Thompson) Miller Jr., Brent Miller, Sarah, Ian and Isaac VanGorden; six great-grandchildren; and a seventh due soon; two sisters, Pauline (Dominic) Mollica, Sylvia (Carlton) Rounds; a brother, Deane (Martha) Williams; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a wonderful husband and father, and a loving grandfather. He was a good hearted, hard working and well liked man. Jack had a passion for farming and loved the land. He also worked at Raymond Corp for several years and drove a school bus. He was a US Army WWII veteran. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson. At Jack's request, his three sons-in-law will give the service. Burial will be in Port Crane Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
