MADIGAN John B. Madigan, age 96, of Milford, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2009 in Milford Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1913 in West Hartford to the late John and Anna Conners Madigan. He graduated from Yale University and was employed with Northeast Utilities as a Vice President for the Accounting Department. An active member of the community, he served on the CT State Prison Commission, was a member of the Yale Grad Club, Book and Bond Club and was a patron of the Metropolitan Opera. In his spare time, he enjoyed tennis and swimming. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his many acts of charity. Mr. Madigan is survived by his sister Clair Haverty of Mystic, a niece, a nephew ,several grandnieces, grandnephews and his dear friend and caretaker Eric Deamico. All services will be private. The arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Donations may be made in his name to St. Mary's Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460.
