Born December 8, 1928 in Barnardsville, he was the son of Clifford G. Arrington and Cora Parris Arrington. He served in the U.S. Air Force and Army. He is survived by a daughter, Rosemarie A. Edgar (Jim) of Candler; step-daughter, Joyce Brown of Fowlerville, Mich.; 2 sisters, Mary Jo Smith (Fred) of Asheville and Loreen"Susie"Paiva (Ron)of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Wanda Arrington of Myrtle Beach; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 7 nieces and 3 nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; brothers, Clifford Jr. of Barnardsville and Jack of Myrtle Beach; and a sister, Barbara Hensley of Asheville.A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Zephyr Hills Baptist Church in Asheville. Service will begin at 4 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The Revs. Danny Gasperson and Ron Hartman will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation or your favorite charity.
