John Andrew "Andy" Williams, 59, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.A Gum Branch resident for the past 12 years, Andy was born on Oct. 4, 1954, in Jacksonville to the late Jesse Baxter and Molly Kendrick Williams. He spent his early years in Jacksonville and attended the University of North Florida, where he was recipient of a Bachelor's Degree of Music.A perfectionist in many ways, Andy strived for excellence in his work as a tile setter.He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Ludowici and enjoyed reading, boating and fishing in his spare time. However, his greatest love was his love of music. As an accomplished pianist, Andy was a member of many different bands over the years and he worked tirelessly to better his skills.Survivors include his wife, Myra T. Williams of Gum Branch; stepdaughter, Lara, her husband Michael Archer of Madison, Wis., and their son Austin; stepson, Cody Tlacuatl of Gum Branch; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Allen Tilley of Jacksonville; brother and sister-in-law, John Henry "Hank" and Maureen Williams of Tampa, Fla.; two aunts, Dorothy Henson of Jacksonville and Mary Conroy and husband John of Spring City, Tenn.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as a large extended family in Gum Branch.A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with the Rev.
