John Albert Lance IIIof Chenango ForksJohn Albert Lance III, 64, of Chenango Forks, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2002 at his home. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Lance; and a sister, Joyce Matson. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Betty J. Lance; four children, John Albert Lance IV, and Barbara, David and Rebecca Lance, Richard and Judy Lance, Margaret and Bret Harrison; 12 grandchildren, Richard Jr., Ian, Sarah, Roxanne, John V, Dylan, Zebariah, Raven, Ashley, Tyler, Rachel and Wyatt; a brother, Donald Lance; two sisters, Betty Lee and Rose Down; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a loving husband, a caring father, and grandfather, and a very hard worker. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Highland Park Alliance Church, 14 Meadow Dr., Greene, N.Y. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
