Joanne Shu Davis, 73, of Bloomingdale entered into eternal sleep Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014 at her residence.A native of Taiwan, she was the daughter of Cheng Ya Su and Fan Ya Lan. Mrs. Davis was an avid cook and baker for 45 years. She attended the Alpha United Methodist church and was involved in many organizations such as the VFW, NCOA, AARP, AAA and Woodmen of the World.She was a loving wife and soulmate for 42 years, mother, grandmother and best friend to many. Her children considered her their best friend and someone they could always go to for advice or just someone who could listen when they needed someone to talk to. She was a role model and hero to her grandkids.Survivors include her husband, Eddie Davis; son and daughter, Alfred (Yachiyo) and Victoria (Wayne) Davis; granddaughters, Lisa, Emily, Brandy and Katherine; grandsons, Joey and Sean Davis; sister, Shirley Mingo; and many nieces and nephews.A gathering of family and friends for visitation was held on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the Families First Funeral Care chapel. Funeral services were held at Families First Funeral Care on Wednesday, Nov. 5 with burial following at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park- West in Savannah. Pallbearers were John Wilcher, Lonnie Wilcher, Tony Davis, Brain Dunn, Harry Godbee and Nick Giradot.
