MACDONALD, Joanne Lucille - Joanne MacDonald of Thornbury passed away peacefully at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital on Monday, June 6, 2011 at the age of 67. She was the daughter of Lucille Burley (née Little) and the late Harold Burley. Joanne was predeceased by her husband John A. MacDonald in 2008. She was the devoted step-mother of Lynne (Rob) Hamilton of Clarksburg, John MacDonald (Diana Miotto) of Toronto and grandmother of Katie MacDonald -- "the shining star in her world". Joanne was the beloved sister of Marcia Halliday-Burley (Peter Potts) of Clarksburg, Beverley-Anne Blais (Jean-Claude) of Collingwood and loving aunt of Gregory Edmunds-Blais and Sanford 'Sandy' Halliday. She will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Michael MacDonald and all those whose lives she touched. A memorial celebration of Joanne's life, officiated by Reverend Dr. Brian Goodings, will be conducted at Grace United Church in Thornbury on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Front Line Collingwood Foundation or the North East Grey Health Clinics Inc. would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, The Valley Chapel, P.O.
