SMITH, Joan (Soda) nee UrbanAt home peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 18, 2013 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of William Smith. Cherished mother to son Chris Soda, and daughters the late Karen Drago (2011) and husband Roberto, Cathy Soda, and Cindy Matchett and husband Al. Fun loving grandma to Mike Soda, Joann Soda, Dayna Drago, Amanda Drago, Marisa Venuto, Nick Venuto, Chad Milne, and Noah Milne. Great-grandma to Brayden. Survived by sister Irene Bravo and former spouse Fred Soda. Predeceased by her parents John and Maria Urban and siblings, Frank Urban, Ann Jacko, and Mary Nantau. Aunt Joanie will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Joan will be deeply missed by her many friends, neighbours and coworkers and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, positive outlook, and long neighbourhood walks with her faithful companion Lady. Joan enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren, and shopping and travelling with her daughters.Visitation will take place atVICTORIA GREENLAWN FUNERAL HOME1525 Hwy 3, Oldcastle(519-969-3939)on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m., Parish Prayers at 4 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, November 22, 2013 at St. Paul's Church, 5885 Malden Rd. Lasalle from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Resurrection at 11 a.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
