SMITH, Joan Sara 1919 - 2011 Mom passed away peacefully at her home in Calgary on Sunday, April 3, 2011, nicely into her 92nd year. She was predeceased by Dad, Capt. A. Rhys Smith, R.C.N. (R) in December 1993. She is survived by her brother Donald D. Wilson of Sydney, BC; and her three sons, Rodney (Margaret), Stephen (Barbara) and Graham; and her seven grandchildren, Robin, Lyndsay, Stuart, Darren, Emily, Chelsea and Alexandra. Her energy and sense of fun, her determination and her remarkable ability to touch deeply all who knew her will be much missed. The family owes a debt of gratitude to May and Lisa who cared for her wonderfully at home over the past few years.
