BOW - Joan Rita Clark, 84, passed away peacefully Feb. 2, 2012, at Concord Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Concord on July 1, 1927, the daughter of the late Levanti and Lena (Racine) Coletti.She lived all her life in New Hampshire, spending her years in Concord, Moultonboro and Bow. She was educated in the Concord Schools, having attended Walker School and graduating from Concord High School in 1945.She married William Clark in 1948.Joan was a proofreader for the Rumford Press and took pleasure in keeping the presses going. She was a member of the Moultonborough Woman's Group, Do-Sa-Do Square Dancing Club and the Y.M.C.A Line Dancing Club.During her life, she enjoyed playing cribbage and poker with family and the many friends she made throughout her life. In recent years, she was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and watched every game. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain.She is predeceased by her loving husband, Bill, who died in 1985; and her beloved daughter, Brenda, in 1982.She is survived by a special goddaughter, Suzanne Grant of Kittery, Maine; cousins Anita Dudley of West Palm Beach, Fla., Robert Dudley of Canterbury, Margaret LaQuex of Dover, Sylvia King of Bow, Marilyn Shaw of Bluffton, S.C., Sandra Moody of Loveland, Colo., Edward Brown of Bend Ore.; and other extended cousins, godchildren and many friends.A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord.Burial will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, 814 Elm St. No. 300, Manchester 03101.
