Joan Osborne JohnstsownJoan Osborne, 74, of Johnstown, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in her home on February 10, 2013. She was born June 24, 1938 in Albany, NY to Charles and Virginia Bramer, and they raised her along with her younger brother in Schoharie, NY where she graduated from Schoharie Central School in 1956. Joan met her husband, Robert T. Osborne Jr., of Speculator, NY while she was attending college at SUNY Cortland and he was attending Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She spent her life making a warm loving home for her family. She enjoyed going to church, singing, Yankee baseball, cooking, listening to talk radio, morning coffee with her many friends, her time at the family beach in Speculator, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the former St. Patrick's Church choir. She is survived by her husband, Robert T. Osborne Jr; her son, Robert T. Osborne III and his wife, Jennifer and their children, Charlie and Grace; and her daughter, Cathy Osborne, all of Johnstown. She is also survived by her brother, C. Richard Bramer and wife, Susan of Schoharie; beloved in-laws, Edward and Midge Perkins of Speculator; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, February 14 at Holy Trinity Church, Glebe St., Johnstown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. with The Very Rev. Donald Czelusniak as celebrant. Interment will take place in the spring at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown. Joan suffered from Macular Degeneration. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution in Joan's name to any organization that may assist with eye care, such as the Lions Club.
