<!-- FH = Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest -->Joan Marloe Rutledge HendersonGreenvilleJoan Marloe Rutledge Henderson, 78, of Greenville, wife of Morris Henderson, went home to be with Jesus, Tuesday, April 30, 2013.Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late James Ray and Bertha Cox Rutledge.Mrs. Henderson retired from the Greenville County School District where she worked as a secretary for 32 years. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for over 56 years where she taught Sunday School for 45 years. Mrs. Henderson was also involved in Greenville Rescue Mission, Bible Study for over 30 years, and other church related activities.She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.In addition to her loving husband of 59 years, she is survived by son, Stephen Henderson and wife, Melissa; grandchildren, Laura Marie Henderson, Hope Mackenzie Henderson, and Stephen Jacob Henderson; sisters, Ruth Dunn, Elaine Parry, and Diane Berry; brothers, Alfred Rutledge and Romaine Rutledge; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Broadus Rutledge.Visitation will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.Memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund, 3931 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611.The family will be at the home of son, Stephen Henderson.
