MCCARTY Joan F. McCarty (Sue) in Connecticut Hospice, January 25, 2010 of West Haven, passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late William (Bill) McCarty. Sue was born on September 24, 1933 in Burlington, Vt. to the late Paul and Marian Ploof Fisher and was the loving mother of Patrick (Eileen) McCarty of Trumbull, Linda (Tom) Calus of West Haven, Cindy (Gary) Cassista of West Haven, with whom she resided, Stephen (Kern) McCarty of West Haven and Frank (Kate) McCarty of North Hero, Vt. She is also survived by nine loving grandchildren that she cherished, James, Melissa and Katelyn McCarty, Maureen and Michelle Calus, Gregory and Nicole Cassista, Alyson McCarty and Grace McCarty, as well as her cat, Lester. To honor her memory the family requests that you wear your favorite team jersey, jacket or pin to the calling hours. Funeral from the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm St, West Haven, Friday at 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence Church, West Haven at 10am. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
