Joan E. McIntire, 60    LIMINGTON -- Joan E. McIntire, 60, of the Hardscrabble Road died on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Springbrook Nursing Home with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.     She was born in Portland on Oct. 1, 1946, a daughter of Elden and Josephine Dumbrocyo Peakall. She attended local schools and graduated from Bonny Eagle High School in 1964. She married her beloved husband, Raymond L. McIntire, on March 2, 1968. She worked for many years at Bonny Eagle High School, most recently as a computer tech, retiring in 2005 due to her illness.     Her many hobbies included traveling, shopping, camping, playing cards, and archery. Once in the late 1970s, she was Women's Maine State Archery Champion. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and being with her family and friends always meant most to her.     She was predeceased by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Raymond McIntire Sr. of Limington; a son, Raymond McIntire Jr. and his fiancŽe Crystal of Gray; a daughter, Lori McIntire of Standish; a brother, Elden Jay Peakall Jr. and his wife Lisa of Limington; two sisters, Sharon Black of Limington and Ellen Bernier of Baldwin; mother-in- law, Carolyn McIntire of Hollis; and six grandchildren: Marc, Kyle, Michael, Kristyn, Chelsea, and Mikenzie. Also surviving are her stepmother, Donna; stepsister Anne; and two stepbrothers, Timmy and Billy; and a very large, loving extended family.     Visiting hours will be Tuesday, June 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the York Funeral Chapel, 71 Maple St., Cornish. A funeral service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 13, at 11 a.m. Pastor David Rowe will officiate.
