Joan E. Hayes, 60, Punta Gorda, died Dec. 9, 2003. She was born Feb. 19, 1943, in Punta Gorda. She was a Wal-Mart pharmacy employee for 20 years. She was a Methodist. Survivors include her husband, Danny; her mother, Myrtice Santini of Punta Gorda; daughters Sandra Tuck of Bessemer City, N.C., and Bonnie Washington of Palm Beach Gardens; a son, Daniel P. of Fort Ogden; a sister, Patricia Staton of Punta Gorda; a brother, Eugene Santini of Punta Gorda; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. There will be a private family service. National Cremation Society, Port Charlotte chapter, is in charge.
