Joan Duro Smith February 5, 1966 - October 12, 2007 APACHE JUNCTION, AZ - Joan Duro Smith, 41, of S. Smythe Dr in Arizona, formerly of Norwich, died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, October 12, 2007. She was born on February 5, 1966 in Norwich, CT the daughter of Harry and Joan (Dandeneau) Duro. Joan graduated from Ella Grasso in 1985. Joan loved playing Texas Hold Em and was an avid karaoke singer in her spare time. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband Michael Smith and daughters Jessica and Tiffany Smith and two grandchildren Steven and Destiny Booker all of Apache Junction, AZ. One brother Harry and his wife Adrienne Duro, one niece Kayla and one nephew Dustin all of Orlando, FL., and one Aunt Grace Lema and her husband Edward. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Voluntown, CT. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
