CARTER, Joan (nee Gouthro)September 4, 1924 - February 15, 2012It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our mother on February 15, 2012. She leaves behind to mourn, her devoted (and love of her life) husband James Carter of 67 years as well as her five children: Bruce (Lynda Ewart), Carol (Wayne Edwards), Kathy (Michel Breton), Gordie (Patricia Bilows), and Lynda (Claude Breton). Marmy also had eight grandchildren, whom she adored as they adored her: Karl (Marie Allard), Melissa (Eric Davis), Daniel (Natasha Carter), Sarah, Jamie (J.P. Roy), Lyndsay (Mike Paris), Lauren (Adam Bialy), and Tara (Sam Gunther); as well as her only great granddaughter, her precious Annabelle. Special thanks to the staff at: the Honoré Mercier Hospital in St-Hyacinthe and the devoted caregivers at Champlain des Pommities - Beloeil for all their wonderful work.To the two most amazing men in my life (my big brother Bruce and my husband Michel), thank you for being there night and day during this heartbreaking journey.The family will receive condolences at Complexe Funéraire Demers, 651 Boul.
