VAN BUREN - Joan C. Ayotte, 66, died April 24, 2005, at her Hillside Street residence. She was born June 22, 1938, in Van Buren, the daughter of Leonard and Mathilda (Laplante) Brown. She was a member of the Evangeline Circle, Daughters of Isabella of Van Buren. She is survived by three sons, Richard Ayotte and his wife, Patty, John Ayotte, David Ayotte and his wife, Julie, all of Van Buren; five brothers, Eugene Brown and Raymond Brown, both of Enfield, Conn., Richard Brown and Ronald Brown, both of Van Buren, and Vinal Brown of Hamlin; four sisters, Jacqueline Labreck of Hamlin, Lorraine Labreck and Diane Brown, both of Van Buren; and Drena Craft of Caribou; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Brad, and Austin Ayotte, all of Van Buren. She was predeceased by her husband, Edmund Ayotte in 2004. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, and 9 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery later this spring.
