EWING - Joan A. Bellerby Smith of Ewing, formerly of Bristol, Pa., passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 69.She was retired from the K Mart warehouse and enjoyed gardening, reading and doing word puzzles.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sarah (Mills) Bellerby, a son, Joseph T. Smith Jr. and a brother, Charles Bellerby. She is survived by her longtime companion Irvin Yauger and children Donna Petrikis (Dennis) of Bensalem, Pa., Sherri Smith (Jeff) of Philadelphia, Pa., Michael Smith (Denise) of Factoryville, Pa., Monica Smith (Chris Brophy) of Bristol, Pa., Debra Yauger Bartole of Yardville, Kenneth Yauger (Renae) of Florence, and daughter-in-law Karen Hilling; her grandchildren, Anthony, Stephen, Christopher, Lori, Brian, Serafina and Michael, David (Jennifer), Cassandra, Jared and Zachary; along with five great-grandchildren; her brother John Bellerby and sister Wanda Gallagher; along with nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 9 a.m. to time of her service at 11 a.m. from the Molden Funeral Chapel, 133 Otter St., Bristol, Pa. on Monday, December 23. Interment will follow in Ewing Cemetery, Scotch Road, Ewing.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Joan's name be made to the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, 100 N. 20th Street, 5th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
