Jimmy R. Johnson (Mule) INMAN, SC-- Jimmy R. Johnson, of 131 Gentle Street, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at Hospice Home after a long illness. A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Mack and Nettie Johnson and husband of his late wife Lillie Ruth Kennedy-Johnson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors are two sons, Travis Kennedy and Frederick Kennedy of Spartanburg County; two daughters, Katrina Kennedy of Spartanburg County and Michelle Kennedy of Inman; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Betty) Johnson of Inman, Mack of Gardena, CA; four sisters, Margaret (William) Kennedy of Spartanburg County, Barbara (Cleo) Kelly of Spartanburg County, Connie Jackson and Portia Johnson of Inman; and a special brother, Steven (Carolyn) Johnson. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Greater Bibleway Tabernacle Miracle Temple, 109 Clark Road, Inman, SC.
