JIMMY LEE CARTER, 50Tropical Fish Farmer LAKELAND - Mr. Jimmy Lee Carter, age 50, died of heart failure Wednesday June 6, 2007 . Born August 15, 1956, in Lakeland, Florida, Jimmy Lee was a tropical fish farmer and a lifelong resident of Lakeland. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and also an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. A loving husband, son, father, and grandfather, he will be missed. Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Lorene Carter. He is survived by his wife, Diane Elizabeth Carter, Lakeland; father, Jim Herbert Carter; sons, Josh Carter, Jerret Carter, both of Lakeland; sister, Judy Character, Lakeland; brother, Rick Carter, Lakeland; granddaughters, Brianna Mann, and Jasmine Carter, both of Lakeland. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Lanier Funeral Home Chapel with a one hour visitation prior to the services from 1-2 p.m. Interment will be in Socrum Cemetery.
